I’ve lost count a bit, but I think this is the fourth or fifth time I’ve written the first post for a new blog.  Never, ever have I actually started out the thing with an introduction–but here I am now, writing an introduction.

I thought I might try doing it right this time!

So, well, Hi! I’m Julie, and that’s me over there on the left. I’m the designer (and packaging specialist, customer service rep., supply manager and portrait photographer) at Bohtieque Design.

I’m also mom to a gorgeous four-year-old known as Small Child and wife to the very patient T. Why patient, you ask?  I’m known to take on more work than anyone in her right mind would. See, I’m not just the woman behind Bohtieque, but I’m a full-time English and journalism teacher–and I volunteer for extra duties way more than is healthy. I like to work, if you haven’t yet guessed.  And, you know what, I like being this way.

At Bohtieque, I specialize mostly in address labels, as you probably know if you’ve found your way here. I love making those tiny pieces of paper and glue into little pieces of art, and I Iove knowing that those tiny scraps have circled the globe on letters and notes between loved ones.

The off-Etsy shop also stocks business cards, personalized notecards and recipe cards. And at some time? I’ll be adding more items.  In fact, right now, I’m working on a new product that works perfectly into my line. I’m going to keep it hush-hush for a bit, but I’m pretty sure I’ll be adding it to both my shops very, very soon.
